OSSTF Endorses Mike Schreiner, While Schreiner Boosts Parry Sound-Muskoka Green Candidate

Riding high after a strong showing at the leaders’ debate on Monday night, Guelph MPP and Green Party leader Mike Schreiner received a key endorsement on Wednesday from the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF). The provincial OSSTF also endorsed Parry Sound-Muskoka Green candidate Matt Richter, who Schreiner has been boosting the last few days as the best chance to double his caucus at Queen’s Park. McNaughton Likes His Party’s Odds in Guelph this Election

Wouldn’t it be nice if Guelph had an MPP that was part of the next provincial government? This is the pitch from current Ontario Labour Minister Monte McNaughton. On the second full day of the 2022 Ontario provincial election, some of the candidates vying to be the next Member of Provincial Parliament for Guelph met for a live and in-person debate at Bishop Macdonell High School. Coming to the Bookshelf Cinema this Friday is Marlene, the story of self-selecting Guelphites Marlene Truscott and her husband Steven Truscott, whose life story involves one of the worst miscarriages of justice in Canadian history. Parr Completes “Big Four” Accepting Provincial NDP Nomination for Guelph

On Monday night, the provincial electoral district of Guelph now has a full slate of major party candidates for the spring provincial election with the acclimation of James Parr as the New Democratic candidate. It’s day #6 of the so-called “Freedom Convoy” in Ottawa, and patience is wearing thin. Schreiner Says Small Businesses Still Need Help as Provincial Re-opening Begins

Ontario businesses locked down for the last three-and-a-half weeks were finally allowed to re-open up to 50 per cent capacity on Monday, so problem solved, right? Not so fast, says Guelph MPP Mike Schreiner. Joined by Dufferin-Caledon Green Party candidate Laura Campbell, who owns a restaurant in downtown Orangeville, Schreiner said that there’s still a role for government to play as businesses try and get back on their feet.
