Starting on Monday, people over 80 will begin receiving their second doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, but progress on vaccines seems to have come at the expense of progress on re-opening schools as the week ends with no announcement on education. In a big hit to interregional transit in Ontario and Quebec on Thursday, Greyhound announced that they were ceasing all Canadian operations effective immediately. The private bus operator is saying that they can’t afford to continue with what remains of their Canadian service, completing a rollback that began in western Canada over two years ago, and permanently affecting transit service to and from Guelph. Despite progress on vaccine distribution, the Government of Ontario announced Monday afternoon that schools will not being returning to in-person learning after April Break.
