Guelph/Eramosa Township Council Gives Final Approval on Quarry Annexation

The annexation of the Dolime Quarry property in the west end of the city south of Wellington Street took another step closer to joining the City of Guelph on Monday. Wellington County Quickly Moves Dolime Annex to Next Phase

The annexation of the Dolime Quarry property, and is potential future as a residential neighbourhood in Guelph, took a couple of steps forward this week after two public meetings. City Moves to Absorb Quarry Site, and Ask for MZO to Do It

It’s not going to be a lazy summer at Guelph City Council as the next several weeks they, along with the Township of Guelph/Eramosa and the County of Wellington, will determine the fate of an issue that ties all three governments together. Hidden Quarry Gets Approval from LPAT After Long Legal Fight

The Local Planning and Appeals Tribunal’s (LPAT) has given the go ahead for James Dick Construction Ltd. (JDCL) to proceed with the the extraction of stone and gravel at a 39-hectare property just south of Rockwood. Eight years after it first came up in the public consciousness, the so-called “Hidden Quarry” has the greenlight to open for business. City Ready to Move to Next Phase of Dolime Solution

The City of Guelph has announced that they’ve wrapped up their nine-week run of public engagement on the proposed deal to close the Dolime Quarry, bring the land into the City of Guelph, and redevelop the area.
