Conservative Nominees Announced, Date for Candidate Vote Set

Guelph’s Conservative Electoral District Association (EDA) has announced that it will be either Dr. Ashish Sachan or Derek Matisz that will be their candidate in the 2019 Federal Election. Students Walkout In Protest Over Ford Cuts, Market Square Filled

High school students at over 500 high schools across Ontario walked out of their classrooms on Thursday to protest changes made to the provincial education system by the government under Premier Doug Ford, including in Guelph where hundreds rallied on Carden St. and shared stories of how the changes will impact their lives. Schreiner Announces Private Members Bill, Feels Good About the Odds

Today at Queen’s Park, Guelph MPP Mike Schreiner unveiled his private member’s bill, the Paris Galt Moraine Conservation Act. Immigration Minister Hussen Joins Cabinet Parade Through Guelph

Of all the cabinet ministers in the Federal Liberal government to come through Guelph in the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Ahmed Hussen was the latest on Monday. Stopping at Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington for a lunch time meet-and-greet, Hussen brought a message of support for those working to resettle newcomers in Canada, and specifically the Guelph community.
