You’ve made it to the end of May, which means that you’ve made it to the monthly Guelph Public Library Board of Directors meeting. RECAP: Ward 2 Town Hall Tackled Downtown Construction and Fourplexes

It was a hot and sunny evening, so naturally about 40 people showed up at a town hall hosted by Ward 2 City Councillors Rodrigo Goller and Carly Klassen. There were two main topics of interest, one is the coming infrastructure renewal of downtown, and the other is the development of policy around fourplexes. RECAP: Accessible Committee Sets Terms for Parks & Rec Plan Supplemental

Way back in October, Guelph City Council sent five recommendations concerning accessibility issues with the Parks and Recreation Master Plan to, who else, the Accessibility Advisory Committee. This Week at Council: Money Talks, Tiny Homes Walk… to the County

This week at city council, two was the magic number. There were two different meetings, we had the month’s second Committee of the Whole meeting, there were two heritage-related motions, and there were two major presents. Two was also reflective of the impact, because there are two different local governments and different powers between then, and that made the idea of proceeding with our own Better Tent City (see above) more difficult. City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the May 28 Meeting?

Once again, we’ve come to the end of the month after a very busy slate of meetings. At this regular meeting, council will be asked to have a last word about internet voting, the 2023 financials, the plan to send the tiny home community concept to Wellington County’s Joint Social Service Committee, and a couple of other administrative items.
