As seems to be a trend at these May meetings, the monthly gathering of the Joint Social Services and Land Ambulance Committee was relatively shorter than normal. RECAP: Heritage Committee Told Decision on McQuillan’s Bridge Coming to Council Next Month

Eleven minutes. That was how long it took for the Heritage Advisory Committee to get all their business done for this month. Several new designations were approved and there was a report about the cultural heritage impact of major proposed project downtown. RECAP: The Library Board Reviews Comms, Gets Ready for New Building

As usual, the Guelph Public Library Board of Directors was the last meeting of the the month, and there was a lot going on. There were annual reports from the human resources and the communications department, and then the board looked to the future by putting some money forward to get needed equipment for new library building and looked how to organize future raised funds in their endowment. RECAP: City and County Split on New Anti-Poverty Initiatives at JSSLAC

Everything started off pretty good at this month’s meeting of the Joint Social Services and Land Ambulance Committee. RECAP: Budget for Rent Supplements Boosted at JSSLAC; 20 New Household Per Month Will Be Covered

It was a big meeting of the Joint Social Services and Land Ambulance Committee on Wednesday. RECAP: Library Board Hears Youth Plans and Makes New Lease Offer

Nothing too scary at this month’s Guelph Public Library Board of Directors meeting, just some of the usual updates. In terms of the new stuff, there was a discussion about youth programming at the various library branches and how the new main building will help them scale up those services. RECAP: The AAC Attempts to Rebuild with First Meeting of New Committee

When we last left the Accessibility Advisory Committee in April, there was no more Accessibility Advisory Committee. In the middle of the meeting, the majority of members resigned in protest after feeling that that they were not getting the requisite autonomy they needed from the City.
