It’s probably a good sign if you have to bring more chairs into your open house. Or a bad sign. Maybe though it’s just a reflection of the remarkable interest in the fate of the Ontario Reformatory lands in Guelph’s east end.”It’s a happy thing when we have more people than chairs at these gatherings,” said senior heritage planner Stephen Robinson as the extra chairs started coming into the room at Guelph’s Legion Branch. Mac’s Back – For Real – With Lots of Questions
After flicking his campaign website off and on earlier this week, it seems that Ward 1 council candidate Thai Mac is now all the way back in just two weeks after saying that he was unofficially pulling out. This Month at Council: Planning Decisions, Help for Straws, and “Strong Mayors” Rebuttal
As scheduled, Guelph City Council returned from summer break, but this September there were a couple of caveats. First, there are renovations underway in the council chambers so the two meetings were 100 per cent virtual once again. Remembrances from Local and Upper Levels of Gov’t for Queen Elizabeth II
Her coronation was one of the first mass-broadcast events after TV started to become something more and more people owned, and at the end of her reign, Queen Elizabeth II was doing stuff on Zoom like the rest of us. She also had a YouTube page. All of this is to say that there was a lot of change in the 70 years that Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor sat on the throne of the United Kingdom.
