Council Report Lays Out the Future of Guelph’s Bike Skills Facility
For a lot of people a bike skills facility has been high on the list of needed amenities in the Royal City, and it’s been on the back burner for a long time. Perhaps a new staff report to council will give all those people some hope to get something more immediate going as the report lays out, in some very specific detail, what the potential facility in Eastview Park might look like in 2028 or (hopefully) before. Two Weeks Till Deadline and Half of Council Still Needs to File Expenses
Although the 2018 Municipal Election has been over for a while, there’s still matters of paperwork that need to be completed. On March 29, all the financial statements for candidates and third party advertisers from the last fall’s elections are due to the City Clerk, but as of right now only five members of the current city council have submitted theirs. Guthrie Welcomes LUMCO and Finds Some Common Ground
The first meeting of the Large Urban Mayors’ Caucus of Ontario (LUMCO), with Guelph’s Mayor Cam Guthrie as the chair, took place on Friday. Although the meeting was closed to the public and the media, the mayor did take a few minutes to answer media questions after the meeting about what’s on LUMCO’s plate this term.
