The Retail Council of Canada has sent an open letter to Ontario’s Minister of the Environment asking for government help with bans on single use plastic. They apparently like the idea of going with less plastic in our environment, but they’re asking that Ontario government to step in before municipalities in the province get too carried away. CSA Cancels Debate After Being Pressured to Include PPC Candidate
A panel with the local Federal Election candidates that was supposed to take place in the University Centre courtyard at the University of Guelph tonight has been cancelled. The organizers are blaming Provincial Free Speech policies mandated on Ontario universities, which was forcing them to include a candidate of a certain party in the debate. Guess which one? City Announces Potential Agreement to Close Dolime, Make it Guelph, and Develop It
After decades of controversy, and years of legal wrangling, the City of Guelph announced this morning that the Dolime Quarry will qclose, be absorbed into Guelph’s municipal boundaries and turned into a new residential neighbourhood.
