Hope and Healing at the Commemoration of Overdose Awareness Day
“International Overdose Awareness Day is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died and acknowledge the grief of the family and friends left behind.” That’s what the day is officially about, but it means something different to everyone who’s experienced loss caused by the drug crisis. Public Health Assures Everyone That Pediatric Shots are Coming
You may have notice some grumblings on social media about the distribution of Moderna’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccines for kids under five years old. It seems that history is repeating itself, not only with the region’s enthusiasm to get vaccination, but with the difficulties in getting those vaccines into eager arms. Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health though is saying, “Don’t worry!” The vaccines are coming and you will be able to get one. COVID Shots for Kids 6 Months to 5 Years Arrive Locally This Week
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health announced Monday a moment that local parents have long-awaited and eagerly anticipated: Starting later this week, if you have a child between the ages of six months and five years, you should be able to book an appointment to get their first COVID-19 vaccine shot.
