Sources Say a Change is Coming on Vaccine Certificates

After weeks of excuses – from saying that they didn’t want to create a two-tiered system, to saying that a piece of paper easily copied in Microsoft Word was fine as proof – there’s news Friday night that the Government of Ontario might be changing their minds on vaccine certificates. City of Guelph Sets Vaccine Requirements for Staff and Council

As the Province government struggles with wrapping its head around vaccine certificates for the whole of Ontario, anyone that wants to get into City Hall will now definitely have to show their proof of vaccination. On Friday morning, the City of Guelph formally announced that everyone at the Corporation of the City of Guelph will need to be fully vaccinated with limited exceptions. Ontario Government Announces Measures to Go the “Last Mile” on Vaccines

As of Tuesday, a little over two-thirds of all Ontarians (meaning not just Ontarians eligible for a vaccine) have been fully vaccinated, which is not too shabby. Ontario Gov Announces Vaccine Mandates for Some, Rapid Tests for Others

The Government of Ontario is making some changes in regards to vaccinations, and not just about who can get a vaccine, but who must now get a vaccine. Although still apparently shirking vaccine mandates for the whole province, the government now wants employees in high risk settings to be vaccinated, but it seems that Ontario’s schools do not count as “high-risk” where rapid testing and contact tracing will remain the first line of defense. U of G Announces Vaccine Mandate for Everyone on Campus this Fall

Less than a month till move in day, and the start of the new school year, the University of Guelph announced to its community that whether you’re a student, faculty member or staff – both here in Guelph and at the Ridgetown campus – then you’re going to have be vaccinated if you’re coming to campus in September. The U of G joins several other universities in initiating a vaccine mandate, much of it at the instance of its own people. Guelph and Area Reaches 75 Per Cent Fully Vaccinated Mark

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health hit a major milestone in vaccine distribution on Thursday reaching 75 per cent of all eligible residents with two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. Just a few weeks ahead of back to school, and perhaps just a matter of time before a full-blown fourth wave of the pandemic, three-quarters of people 12 and over in Guelph and area are now full vaccinated.
