RECAP: Police Board Hears About Internet Crime and an Annual Report
The June meeting of the Guelph Police Services Board covered a lot of ground on a lot of issues. The annual report will be coming any day now, and there was a sneak preview for the public here. There was another annual report specifically targeting human resources issues at the service. In their last meeting before summer vacation, the Guelph Public Library Board is going to have a lot of ground to cover. There will be follow up about previous reports on the work needed to update the various branches along with some of the usual monthly reports, and there will also be new information about the end of the yer financials and programming matters. The Accessibility Advisory Committee spent a great deal of their June meeting talking about what they mean when it comes to intersectionality, and how best City of Guelph staff can monitor that. RECAP: Ward 6 Town Hall Starts With Construction, Ends With Housing
It was a hot time in the council chambers, and city council wasn’t even in session. About a dozen very active Ward 6 residents headed north to city hall for a town hall with their councillors, Dominique O’Rourke and Ken Yee Chew. This Week at Council: Planning and a Future Ready Finale
Two meetings this week, one that took care of a lot of planning business in not a lot of time with the monthly planning meeting, and then council tried to absorb four years of Strategic Plan accomplishments in two hours with the annual report.
