Royal City Mission Will Have Cooling Centre in Time for Next Heat Wave

You may have noticed that there’s a heat wave right now. Typically, this annoyance has a solution for people without air conditioning as they can head to the mall, the library, or a rec centre to enjoy a respite from the heat. Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic has taken away that option, but there is one place in the Royal City that is looking to reclaim a space for the public to enjoy the cool once again. Damning Canadian Forces Report Paints Grim Picture in Long Term Care

A damning 15-page report from Canadian Forces personnel assisting in long term care homes in Ontario paints a picture of the disgusting, and degrading conditions that some senior citizens live in at five Ontario properties. Library Says Curbside Pickup is Coming June 1, GRCA Announces New Relaxed Regs

In new signs that we’re slowly but surely getting back to something resembling normality, there have been two new announcements Friday that should make social distancing easier in the days to come.
