The June meeting of the Guelph Police Services Board covered a lot of ground on a lot of issues. The annual report will be coming any day now, and there was a sneak preview for the public here. There was another annual report specifically targeting human resources issues at the service. MEETING PREVIEW: Guelph Public Library Board for June 24, 2024

In their last meeting before summer vacation, the Guelph Public Library Board is going to have a lot of ground to cover. There will be follow up about previous reports on the work needed to update the various branches along with some of the usual monthly reports, and there will also be new information about the end of the yer financials and programming matters. The Accessibility Advisory Committee spent a great deal of their June meeting talking about what they mean when it comes to intersectionality, and how best City of Guelph staff can monitor that. RECAP: Ward 6 Town Hall Starts With Construction, Ends With Housing

It was a hot time in the council chambers, and city council wasn’t even in session. About a dozen very active Ward 6 residents headed north to city hall for a town hall with their councillors, Dominique O’Rourke and Ken Yee Chew. This Week at Council: Planning and a Future Ready Finale

City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the June 25 Shareholder Meetings?

If it’s June, then that means it’s time for Guelph City Council to sit as a shareholder. The City of Guelph is the sole shareholder of two different businesses, one is Guelph Municipal Holdings Inc, which holds our stake in Alectra Utilities, and the other is Guelph Junction Railway, which owns much of the train track that runs through the Royal City.
