This Week at Council: Traffic Calm and Carry On

This week at council almost everyone had concerns about road safety. RECAP: City and County Split on New Anti-Poverty Initiatives at JSSLAC

Everything started off pretty good at this month’s meeting of the Joint Social Services and Land Ambulance Committee. First there was a celebration (of sorts) about the successes of the first year of the transitional housing project on Delhi Street, but as the meeting went down the agenda, things got a little more adversarial, especially as the committee debated two new anti-poverty initiatives. Where were those divides? Get into the recap and find out! Continue reading “RECAP: City and County Split on New Anti-Poverty Initiatives at JSSLAC”
