Everything started off pretty good at this month’s meeting of the Joint Social Services and Land Ambulance Committee. First there was a celebration (of sorts) about the successes of the first year of the transitional housing project on Delhi Street, but as the meeting went down the agenda, things got a little more adversarial, especially as the committee debated two new anti-poverty initiatives.
