Challenges with mental health and addictions is so prevalent most people can rattle off some statistic whether they, or someone they know, is affected or not. Labour Day Picnic Back, In-Person, This Coming Weekend
Like a lot of events this summer, the Labour Day Picnic in Riverside Park is making a comeback. The event held by the Guelph & District Labour Council has cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 and replaced with a Labour Day parade, but this Monday it’s hot dogs and samosas and solidarity in-person just like old times, and probably with a lot of political talk as well. New Ontario Budget Almost the Same as the Old One

Public Health Assures Everyone That Pediatric Shots are Coming
You may have notice some grumblings on social media about the distribution of Moderna’s pediatric COVID-19 vaccines for kids under five years old. It seems that history is repeating itself, not only with the region’s enthusiasm to get vaccination, but with the difficulties in getting those vaccines into eager arms. COVID Shots for Kids 6 Months to 5 Years Arrive Locally This Week
Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health announced Monday a moment that local parents have long-awaited and eagerly anticipated: Starting later this week, if you have a child between the ages of six months and five years, you should be able to book an appointment to get their first COVID-19 vaccine shot. Ontario Opens Up Second Boosters to Everyone Over 18. Tomorrow.
It’s been a while since we heard from Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, but Dr. Kieran Moore emerged in front of the press again on Wednesday, and in the midst of a summer COVID wave he invited everyone in the province over the age of 18 to get their second booster.
