Guelph MPP and Green Party of Ontario leader Mike Schreiner held a media availability at Queen’s Park Monday morning to talk about his priorities before the Ontario Legislature holds its first sitting since April on Tuesday. Ontario Loosens Restrictions, Extends Emergency

The Government of Ontario announced Wednesday that they are getting ready to take another small step to re-opening the provincial economy. According to the Premier and his cabinet, the sacrifices of stay-at-home orders and social distancing have allowed them to start to ease restrictions, even though they’re also extending the state of emergency that was initiated way back on March 17. Ontario Government Announces Schools and Parks will Remain Closed till 2019

As some jurisdictions in Canada look to re-open society from the COVID-19 quarantine lockdown, it seems like Ontario is looking to keep some aspects buttoned up for at least another month. A Year of Labour Strife Concludes with a Deal for OSSTF

Nearly eight months after their contract expired, and after who knows how many lost hours in the classroom due to rotating strikes, the Ontario government has closed its fourth and final deal with the teachers’ unions. Ontario Government Passes New Emergency Measures

In another emergency session of the Ontario Legislature today, a representative sample of Ontario’s political leaders approved an extension of the state or emergency and other measures to assist Ontario schools and municipalities weather the crisis. Schreiner Tells Open Sources That the COVID Response is Good, Could Be Better

Ontario Government Releases Pandemic Models, Changes Essential List

As promised, Premier Doug Ford released the modelling data and projections that have formed his government’s response to the COVID-19 epidemic. Accordingly, the numbers paint a pretty grim picture of the worse case scenario, and along with these new raised concerns, the government has also taken action to rein in the number of businesses that are still allowed to remain open as we enter the fourth week of lockdown. The Ontario government has made the not unexpected move to keep schools across the province closed for another month.
