POLICE NOTES: Bomb Threat, Boat Fire, and More Project Hammer Arrests

Looking at a week’s worth of media releases from the Guelph Police Service, there’s a lot going on in our little city crime-wise speaking, so let’s run down some of the charges, issues, and requests for information from the Guelph Police Service over the last seven days. RECAP: GRCA Membership Holds Straightforward April Meeting
This month’s meeting of the Grand River Conservation Authority was not terribly controversial. The new insurance premium was approved, new jobs were awarded, and there was a discussion about the flooding event that only happened in some areas back at the beginning of April. But if any of this sounds like it might be of interest to you, you’re still invited to scroll through this month’s recap below… Continue reading “RECAP: GRCA Membership Holds Straightforward April Meeting”
MEETING PREVIEW: Committee of Adjustment Meeting for May 11, 2023

GUELPH POLITICAST #370 – The Day of Mourning Show
If it’s the end of April, then it’s time for the Workers’ Day of Mourning. For 40 years, workers across the country have stopped to remember those who lost their lives on the job and to inspire workers to fight to prevent further tragedies. It’s widely considered a rare opportunity to make a point that only sometimes penetrates our common narrative: Are all workplaces as healthy and safe as they could be, and are they equally safe for everyone? Speaking of those jobs, they will be changing in the years to come as staff prepares to move into some new accommodations on Baker Street, and there was some progress reported there too. Here’s the recap… Continue reading “RECAP: Library Board Tackles HR Concerns and Their Friends”
