Ontario Hitting Pause on Re-opening Plans After Bump in COVID Cases
Less than 24 hours after the Mister of Health said that Ontario will “stay the course” on its planned re-opening, there’s been a change in course. On Wednesday, Christine Elliott announced in a statement that the unfurling of capacity limits has been put on pause out of an “abundance of caution” as the Province tries to manage the pandemic, and not fall back into old, business-limiting restrictions. Government of Ontario Expanding Flu Shot Availability in November
In case you had forgotten, flu season is here. Let’s just say that if you’re only planning on getting one shot this fall, and you aren’t already fully vaccinated against COVID-19, make it a Pfizer or Moderna shot. One Week Before Policy Starts, Ontario Government Announces Guidelines for Vax Certificates
This time next week will be the last day you can go inside many places without being asked for proof of vaccination. It’s Official: On Tuesday, We’re Re-Opening Red!!
We’re red! Or we will be. Since it was announced on Monday that most of Ontario’s health regions would be returning to the colour-coded restriction system next week, we’ve all be wondering where Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph will sit on the scale. Ford Warns of “Unthinkable Consequences” as Ontario Declares New State of Emergency
Premier Doug Ford has raised the alarm in the last few days that the new modelling of COVID-19 cases was going to make people “fall out of their chair” when they saw it. Tuesday was the day that Ford not only released the new modelling, but the new provincial restrictions based on that modelling, and the Premier said that there are “unthinkable consequences” coming if we don’t change course.
