West End Community Garden Scores More Investment

You can see it from the road, a massive community garden on the same property as St. Peter Catholic Elementary School on Westwood Road. For almost two years now, community members in the Westwood and Willow area in the west end have developed a well-used and well-loved facility to fight food insecurity in this area of Guelph, and again their hard work is being recognized. The Guelph Hiking Trail Club has been making a lot of waves in the last few years to promote the expansion, and expanded use, of Guelph’s various routes and trails. You may be interested to know though that this has been a 50-year endeavour. Remembrances from Local and Upper Levels of Gov’t for Queen Elizabeth II

Her coronation was one of the first mass-broadcast events after TV started to become something more and more people owned, and at the end of her reign, Queen Elizabeth II was doing stuff on Zoom like the rest of us. She also had a YouTube page. All of this is to say that there was a lot of change in the 70 years that Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor sat on the throne of the United Kingdom.
