This Week at Council: Police Money and Paramedic Needs
This week, there back-to-back council meetings, and one of them looked bigger than normal in terms of the number of people around the horseshoe, which was really more like a round table. A joint meeting of Guelph City Council and Wellington County Council was held to talk about the issues facing paramedics, while Guelph council on it’s own had to deal with a matter of funding more police downtown. MEETING PREVIEW: Board of Health Meeting for June 7, 2023
June’s Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Board of Health meeting will be data driven. Not that the decisions of the board are not usually data driven, but data will be the focus on this month’s meeting in terms of how Public Health is using it to improve their programs, not to mention the literal maintenance and dissemination of that data. MEETING PREVIEW: Heritage Guelph Meeting for June 12, 2023
After taking May off, Heritage Guelph is returning to the virtual committee meeting room with a new agenda that will look at a couple of different matters. There will be an update about a couple of heritage designation files, plus a report about a potential demolition in the city’s heritage district, and the committee will also learn how they might be able to do more to advance the work of future designations.
