Compared to the more rowdy mayoral debate the day before, Thursday’s gathering of the Ward 2 candidates was almost too nice. Eight of the nine people running for these two seats showed up at Royal City Mission to find a lot of agreement and to cheerfully exchange ideas about matters of affordability, planning and protecting equity seeking groups in the city, but there was occasionally some room for disagreement.
