Provincial State of Emergency Extended Until June 30
In a vote that sends the message to Ontarians that the pandemic is far from over, the Ontario Legislature voted to extend the provincial state of emergency until the end of June. Province Orders Change in Management for 7th Long Term Care Home
Since last week’s incendiary report on the state of five long term care homes in Ontario as observed by the Canadian Forces, the Province has taken over management of six long-term care homes, and now they’ve added a seventh. This new home is up the road in Kitchener where St. Mary’s Hospital is taking over Forest Heights Long Term Care, where over 200 cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed. A damning 15-page report from Canadian Forces personnel assisting in long term care homes in Ontario paints a picture of the disgusting, and degrading conditions that some senior citizens live in at five Ontario properties. The report released to the public on Tuesday has increased the verocity and volume in demands for a full public inquiry, and the rolling of some political heads on the part of Premier Doug Ford. Ontario Schools Now Officially Out for Summer, While Commission Coming for LTC
The last time that Ontario students stepped foot inside their classrooms was the day before March Break, and Tuesday it was revealed that they won’t be going back until after Labour Day. Ontario Initiates Stage One Re-Open, LUMCO Still Seeks Money

Ontario Loosens Restrictions, Extends Emergency
The Government of Ontario announced Wednesday that they are getting ready to take another small step to re-opening the provincial economy. According to the Premier and his cabinet, the sacrifices of stay-at-home orders and social distancing have allowed them to start to ease restrictions, even though they’re also extending the state of emergency that was initiated way back on March 17.
