MEETING PREVIEW: Transit Advisory Committee Meeting for April 18, 2024

Time to catch the bus, or rather the committee that advises about the buses. The April agenda for the Transit Advisory Committee looks suspiciously like the March agenda, but with one additional item. Once again, TAC will look at chimes, and ridership concerns, and general updates, but they will also hear about a proverbial meeting of local transit minds. MEETING PREVIEW: Joint Social Services and Land Ambulance Committee Meeting for April 10, 2024

Wait! What’s this?! It’s not everyday that there’s the start of a new committee, or perhaps we should call this a committee reboot, because it’s taking something that already existed, but getting a new twist. MEETING PREVIEW: Heritage Guelph Meeting for April 8, 2024

This month’s Heritage Guelph meeting will be a trivia bonanza! How many (locally) famous hands held the deed for a particular house Queen Street? How many original features exist on a well-known downtown building that might need a little love? MEETING PREVIEW: Board of Health Meeting for April 3, 2024

This month, the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Board of Health will make the seasonal transition… to meeting in-person again! And speaking of seasonal, the big presentation of the month is going to be about bugs, the one’s that spread dangerous and life-threatening diseases. Also, there will be some annual reporting involving injuries and vaccine waste, plus some new reporting about rabies and a life-saving community service. MEETING PREVIEW: County Social Services Meeting for March 13, 2024

After taking February off, the Social Services Committee of Wellington County is getting together again… for the last time. Sort of. Next month, a new joint committee between the City of Guelph and the County of Wellington takes over, but for this month *this* committee will tackle reports about construction projects, resolutions from the Guelph council, and the findings from a symposium held just a few weeks ago (and will be held again in a few weeks time).
