Committee of the Whole Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the July 5 Meeting?

We’ve got one more month of meetings before the start of the annual summer break, and it’s going to be a pretty busy month. To kick off July, city council will be looking to the future a new strategic plan, a new e-scooter bylaw, new performance goals for paramedics, and a permanent version of the seasonal patio program. This Week at Council: Strategic Plan Updated Further, and So Was Transit!

April ended with a very busy trifecta of meetings including a very heavy focus on transit matters. Before that though, council had another workshop to discuss the update to the Strategic Plan for the last time before a finished draft comes back in a few months. The Week at Council: The Strategic Plan Gets Further Refined

It was a slow week at city council, but it was still a pretty consequential week as the horseshoe dealt with a sudden matter of community interest in a special meeting, and then got back to the business of refreshing the Strategic Plan. RECAP: Police Board Hears About BEAT Success and Strat. Plan Objectives

February’s Guelph Police Services Board meeting was a success story, and that success belonged to the Break Enter Auto Theft unit. The efficacy of that unit was the main point of interest at this month’s board meeting, and there was also some discussion about accomplishing the goals of the Service’s Strategic Plan after a very consequential year that was filled with both challenges and opportunities according to Chief Gord Cobey.
