This month’s business will cover the always controversial audit planning reprots, as well as customer service needs at the City, a new bylaw for trailers, and some pressing 2022 election matters. City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the October 25 Meeting?

That budget process will be different this year as council moves further along the path of establishing a four-year multiyear budget regimen, but before getting into the nuts and bolts, staff will be holding another workshop with council to get their mind set on deciding what’s important, and what’s affordable with this budget. Redacted Report on 797 Victoria Notes Ongoing Threat to Life Without Demo

After a lengthy closed meeting debate, and two emergency meetings, city council has finally released the details around the emergency demolition ordered for the old Shortreed Farmhouse at 797 Victoria Road North. The redacted report outlines in specific detail the risk to the property, and the risk to the City of Guelph’s liability without the demolition after several meetings between Guelph Fire and the Grand River Conservation Authority.
