RECAP: Accessibility Committee Looks at Patios, Rubber Surfaces and Election 2026!

MEETING PREVIEW: Accessibility Advisory Committee for April 18, 2023

After taking a scheduled month off, the Accessibility Advisory Committee gets back to business with their regular meeting, and the agenda will cover matters coming in the immediate future and the sort of far future. Feedback will be sought about a permanent patio policy, accessibility of playground equipment, traffic calming, community engagement and the 2026 municipal election. RECAP: Accessibility Committee Offers Notes on Slate of Future Projects

RECAP: Accessibility Committee Completes December Agenda, Talks Playgrounds and Elections

Back in December, the Accessibility Advisory Committee got an early jump on most of the City’s local boards and advisory committees by holding a pre-Christmas meeting that ended up going past the two hours set aside for the meeting. RECAP: First AAC Meeting of the Term is “To Be Continued…” in January

At the first meeting of the new Accessibility Advisory Committee this term, things were so busy that they had to declare that the meeting would be continued at a special meeting of the committee that will take place in January. The entire two hour meeting was all about committee orientation, so the other two items will have to get an airing next month. MEETING PREVIEW: Accessibility Advisory Committee for December 20, 2022

In the last official City of Guelph committee function of 2022, the Accessibility Advisory Committee will meet for the first time this term to talk about a couple of pressing issues and do some orientation. After all the pressure to be as accessible as possible in this year’s local election, staff will talk about their results, and the committee will also hear from different staff members about a matter of play.
