RECAP: Board of Health Hears About ACEs and How a Luncheon Went Wrong

Have you ever wondered how the public health office would handle some outbreak of a food-borne illness at a well-attended social event? Well this was your lucky day if you were an attendee of the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Board of Health meeting. A tick-tock about the stomach bug at a International Women’s Day event in Orangeville was one of the subjects covered, and so was something called Adverse Childhood Events, or ACEs. RECAP: Heritage Guelph Looks at OR Land Contamination and Next Designation

This month’s Heritage Guelph meeting covered a lot of ground. Let’s recap this month’s meeting… Continue reading “RECAP: Heritage Guelph Looks at OR Land Contamination and Next Designation”

RECAP: This Month, Board of Health Looks at Sex, Drugs and Rabies

Appropriately, vaccination was a big point of discussion in the meeting and so were programs to fight sexually transmitted infections, the opioid crisis and why spring means more awareness of rabies and the avian flu. Let’s recap! Continue reading “RECAP: This Month, Board of Health Looks at Sex, Drugs and Rabies”
