The Province’s Cancels Hamilton’s LRT to Much Surprise and Outrage

Just another normal day at Hamilton City Hall this was not. Actually, it wasn’t even at City Hall. Ontario’s Minister of Transportation, Caroline Mulroney, was in the Steel City on Monday to announce that the Government of Ontario was pulling $1 billion to build light rail transit (LRT), but she didn’t even get a chance to deliver the bad news because she was hustled out of town under police escort. If you went to the Guelph Mercury website with longing this morning, you may have been surprised to see that there were new articles posted there.
