City and Developer Reach a Potential Deal on 75 Dublin Appeal
An odyssey now nearly five years long, the file on a proposed residential building for seniors took a step closer to being closed during a case management conference at the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) this morning. A settlement between the City of Guelph and the developer, Rykur Holdings, will end one part of the appeal, and now all parties will see if they can resolve the other part. Back during last year’s budget deliberations, there was a motion to combine investments from the City of Guelph and the Government of Ontario to hire a third-party auditor to conduct a service rationalization review. Several months later, the review has been complete, and in a special meeting of council, the horseshoe will consider the recommendations and how best to implement them.
