While the Federal leaders got ready to meet in Gatineau for the official French-language debate, the candidates in Wellington-Halton Hills were among the numerous ridings in Canada taking part in this election’s 100 Debates on the Environment and More initiative. Hosted by the Halton Environmental Network (HEN), CFUW Georgetown and the Halton Hills Public Library, the four main party candidates in the riding traded policy (and barbs) over Zoom. WELLINGTON-HALTON HILLS POLITICAST 2021 – Ran Zhu, Green Party Candidate

Michael Chong won Wellington Halton-Hills in the 2019 election with 47.4 per cent of the vote. The only way he could have been defeated was if the combined Liberal, NDP, and Green Party vote had gotten behind one candidate.
