This Month at Council PART 2: Workshops, Development Charges, and More Drama

For a time, the second half of the month at council was more dry and wonkish with special meetings and workshops about dry subject matter like Development Charges and the multi-year budget. City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the October 18 Meeting?

If it’s fall at city council, then that means a lot of people are thinking about the budget. That budget process will be different this year as council moves further along the path of establishing a four-year multiyear budget regimen, but before getting into the nuts and bolts, staff will be holding another workshop with council to get their mind set on deciding what’s important, and what’s affordable with this budget. City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the May 17 Meeting?

Remember last year when city council had that all-day meeting that started at 9 o’clock in the morning where they had a presentation that covered the entire budget and not just have a series of smaller meetings over several nights?
