It’s June! The weather is nice, and there are lots of outdoor activities to take part in, so naturally this month’s Committee of the Whole agenda is one of the longest in some time. In terms of long-term issues it’s going to cover all the bases including social services, community engagement, council governance, water, Smart Cities, strategic planning and downtown renewal. This Month at Council: Patios, No Proxies, More Supportive Housing, and Patios(!)

At Guelph city council, March came in like a lion, and it went out like a… slightly smaller lion. Since the weather was (mostly) nice, it was perhaps unsurprising that this summer’s patio program took up so much of the meeting time this month, but there were other matters covered including more planning applications, and the mid-term governance review.
