MEETING PREVIEW: Transit Advisory Committee Meeting for May 18, 2023

This month’s Transit Advisory Meeting will catch up on some recent transit developments outside the committee room and then talk about what’s next. Since last month’s TAC meeting, city council formally passed the transit fare review so what happens now? RECAP: Social Services Committee Reviews Housing and Childcare Changes Are Coming

There wasn’t much to do for the Wellington County Social Services committee at the May meeting, but there was a hint of some changes to come. Ontario Works was able to take the month off, but there was some interesting new developments to discuss around childcare in the region, at least in terms of future funding. MEETING PREVIEW: County Social Services Meeting for May 10, 2023

This month, the Wellington County Social Services Committee meeting will be mostly about the future of childcare and after school programs, from the County staff’s own internal plans to the outside funding changes from the Province. New funding models and new plans for the future are about half the meeting, the other half will focus on Housing 101 in Wellington County, plus maybe (?) an Ontario Works update. MEETING PREVIEW: Grand River Conservation Membership Meeting for April 28, 2023

RECAP: Accessibility Committee Looks at Patios, Rubber Surfaces and Election 2026!

MEETING PREVIEW: Accessibility Advisory Committee for April 18, 2023

After taking a scheduled month off, the Accessibility Advisory Committee gets back to business with their regular meeting, and the agenda will cover matters coming in the immediate future and the sort of far future. Feedback will be sought about a permanent patio policy, accessibility of playground equipment, traffic calming, community engagement and the 2026 municipal election.
