Coming out of the pandemic, the future of sports and recreation has been top of mind because we were all encouraged to get outdoors during the lockdowns. Last week, the Canadian Women & Sport and E-Alliance released a study that found one in four girls who took part in a sport prior to COVID-19 will not be returning. That means as many as 350,000 young women across the country will no longer be getting the fun and benefit of participating in sports, and that’s something the Federal government wants to stop from happening.
