This planning meeting of Guelph City Council will focus for the most part on heritage matters. For the last several months, Heritage Guelph has been banking new designations for council to finally sign off on and the horseshoe will take a look at five of them. But that’s not the end of the agenda, there will also be a request to extend a deadline, a request to send a letter, and a request to build some new student accommodations. November’s Heritage Guelph meeting was largely straightforward, but at least three more designations are on their way to council for final approval at some point in the future, and now there are a couple of more items are on the drawing board, But as we reach the end of 2023 it seems like heritage staff are running our of work, which is why they queued up the committee to start thinking about 2024.
