“I see my role as a member of a board of directors for a large non-profit with an annual operating budget of over $500M.  Trustees are expected to make decisions in the best interests of the Board, and not necessarily just for their local electors. “The government has put a lot of restrictions in place for trustees. “I saw the pandemic’s effects on student mental health and achievement and knew that I had to step up to help students. As the husband of a teacher, and a concerned citizen, I need to help move the school board towards better supports for our students in the UGDSB.
