RECAP: Police Board Gets Low Down on Fight Against Intimate Partner Violence

This month’s Guelph Police Services Board meeting highlighted a very complicated and very serious issue facing our community. MEETING PREVIEW: Guelph Police Services Board for November 16, 2023

After passing the Guelph Police Services budget for 2024-2027 last month, this November meeting of the Police Services Board seems positively light. RECAP: Police Board Approves Budget With Added IMPACT

With today’s meeting, the Guelph Police Services Board officially sent the 2024-2027 police budget to city council for further examination starting in a few weeks. The only big change is additional funds for the IMPACT program that will cover the cost of a social worker in downtown Guelph along with an additional downtown police officer.
