City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the November 27, 2024 Meeting?

And we reach the grand finale of this year’s budget confirmation process, or we don’t. This could be the end of the budget process, but on the other hand there might be vetos and the repeal of vetos, but those are problems for another day. This Week at Council: Fireworks Strike Back Before Budget

After a two week break, council returned with back-to-back meetings that generated some conflict, including one surprising topic of controversy. Fireworks were back on the agenda, essentially so that council could ratify the direction they approved at Committee of the Whole, but things ended up going in a very different direction. City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the October 30, 2024 Meeting?

RECAP: GRCA Board Approves Changes to Land Acquisition and Disposition Policies

MEETING PREVIEW: Grand River Conservation Membership Meeting for February 23, 2024

If it’s February at the Grand River Conservation Authority then that means it’s time for the Annual General Meeting for the membership board, and if it’s the AGM, then that means it’s time for the final passage of the budget. Not much has changed with the budget in the last 30 days, just about half-a-million dollars or so, but there’s a lot of meeting to get through before the last word on the budget and that includes a lot of audit stuff.
