Two meetings this week, one that took care of a lot of planning business in not a lot of time with the monthly planning meeting, and then council tried to absorb four years of Strategic Plan accomplishments in two hours with the annual report. City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the June 11 Meeting?

This planning meeting of Guelph City Council will focus for the most part on heritage matters. For the last several months, Heritage Guelph has been banking new designations for council to finally sign off on and the horseshoe will take a look at five of them. But that’s not the end of the agenda, there will also be a request to extend a deadline, a request to send a letter, and a request to build some new student accommodations. RECAP: Heritage Guelph Says ‘No’ to Kidd Barn Demo

It was a busy agenda with about half-a-dozen items, but that doesn’t mean that Heritage Guelph didn’t handle it all industriously. MEETING PREVIEW: Heritage Guelph Meeting for May 6, 2024

There’s going to be a busy slate at this month’s Heritage Guelph meeting as the local heritage protection committee’s got a lot of extra protection to do. First up, they will asked again to put themselves between history and the wrecking ball as a property already under protection is threatened yet again. But other matters this month are less urgent or dire as the committee adds three more properties to the formal list of designated properties. MEETING PREVIEW: Heritage Guelph Meeting for March 4, 2024
