City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the Last Meeting of the Term?

In this meeting we say “goodbye, farewell, and amen” to this term of council in the ceremonial final meeting. Before the new council takes over on November 15, the current council, especially the ones who won’t be returning, will say so long to the newly renovated council chambers and leave with their memories and, hopefully, a certain sense of job satisfaction.

NOTE #1: Delegates will be able to appear at this meeting via telephone, but you do have to register with the clerks office before 10 am on Friday October 28. You can also submit written delegations and correspondences for agenda items.

NOTE #2: The meeting will be the open to the public, but if you would like to follow it from home, you will still be live-stream the meeting on the City of Guelph’s website here.

NOTE #3: This meeting begins at the special time of 5:30 pm.

PRESENTATION: Council will pay tribute to Brayden McGarr, Nolan Battler, and Gracin Jones, members of the Team Ontario championship Lacrosse team.

Recognizing Members of Council – Mayor Cam Guthrie will pay tribute to retiring members of city council – Bob Bell, James Gordon, June Hofland and Mike Salisbury – as well as any members of council who may not be successful in their re-election efforts on Monday.
