For the fifth and perhaps (hopefully) final time, city council will gather to talk about the effects of COVID-19 on the Royal City, and the municipal corporation that runs it.
NOTE #1: Delegates will be able to appear at this meeting via telephone, but you do have to register with the clerks office before 1o am on August 7. You can also submit written delegations and correspondences for agenda items.
NOTE #2: The meeting will be closed to the public physically, though it will be live-streamed on the City of Guelph’s website here.
Managing the Impacts of COVID-19: Update #5 – The report for this meeting will be released with the amended agenda next Friday, but what do we know right now? We know that there will be a staff report on loosening some of the red tape needed by non-profits to run lotteries as fundraisers, and we know that councillors have been asked by the mayor to bring forward intentions about the 2021 budget in advance of the August 24 regular meeting of council.
