The new city council, which, admittedly, is mostly the old city council, will take their seats around the horseshoe in just a few weeks. As the two new councillors get ready to take up their positions, one of them came by CFRU last Thursday for the first of what will likely be many little chats.
On the last edition of Open Sources Guelph, we were joined in studio by Dominique O’Rourke, the incoming City Councillor for Ward 6. O’Rourke talked about her decisive victory, her plans as a councillor, and how she intends to balance all the prioritites – hers and the City’s – in her first few months of office.

After taking a couple of weeks off from election talk, we’re back at it this week on Open Sources Guelph! In fact, we’ve missed elections so much, we’re importing coverage. First, we’ll get a delivery from the U.S. as the highly contentious midterm elections have wrapped up for another four years. Meanwhile, people in Calgary are having an election, but in this one you can’t ignore the issues because it’s a plebiscite!
