After a two week break, council gets back down to business with two referrals, one from earlier this month and one from last month. Council will finally have to make a choice about how much the next council will be paid, and they will also have to square that last piece of business about future plans for the Sleeman Centre. First though, the committee had a discussion about development fees and whether or not they’re an impediment to new home construction, and there was really no final resolution there, but coincidentally that was also where they left the Sleeman Centre construction. We come again to the end of the month and the regular council meeting. It’s been a pretty laid back month compared to last, and this meeting’s agenda fits that theme as council will revisit the very uncontroversial Committee of the Whole agenda, and then add another matter about whether not council should support the idea of subsidizing new pipelines.
