City Council Preview – What’s on the Agenda for the Meeting on June 27?

It’s the end of June, and this agenda certainly feels like it’s the last day of classes before summer vacation. Granted, there are still a bunch of meetings coming in July, but you’re looking for something new and exciting on this agenda, it appears that all you have is the stuff already talked about at Committee of the Whole. Can we find new controversy to exploit, or will this meeting be brief?

NOTE #1: Delegates will be able to appear at this meeting in-person or via tele-presense but you do have to register with the clerks office before 10 am on Friday June 23. You can also submit written delegations and correspondences for agenda items.

NOTE #2: In addition to meeting in-person, this meeting will also be live-streamed on the City of Guelph’s website here.

*So this is not a typo or mistake. As it stands right now, the only items on the agenda for the regular meeting is the ratification of the reports and directives at Committee of the Whole. Additional items may be added when the amended agenda is released on Friday June 23.

Consent Agenda items from the Committee of the Whole meeting on June 6. (Items can be pulled by a councillor seeking additional information, otherwise all items will be voted on as a slate without further debate.)

  • Ontario Health – Multi-Sectoral Accountability Agreement, Declaration of Compliance
  • 2022 Guelph. Future Ready Progress Report
  • 2023 Governance Review
  • Smart Cities Update – Our Food Future and Circular Opportunity Launchpad
  • Municipality of Trent Lakes Resolution: Oath of Office
  • Components of the new Community Engagement Framework
