IDE-2018.29, 7 and 9 Eden Street Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, File: ZC1618 (Ward 4) – Juzef and Stanislawa Kuzyk want to turn the garage on their property into a coach house. City staff abides and recommends that council does the same.
IDE-2018-15, 1533-1557 Gordon Street and 34 Lowes Road West Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, File: ZC1710 (Ward 6) – Here we grow again! In a move that’s surely going to upset people along Gordon south already concerned about too much development too fast, Reid’s Heritage Homes is looking to build a 102-unit, six storey apartment building on the corner of Gordon Street and Loews Road West. Five single detached homes currently sit on the property, but those will be demolished for the new building and its 123 off-street parking spaces. The land will have to be rezoned from “Residential Single Detached” (R.1B) Zone to a “Specialized General Apartment (R.4A-?). This is the Statutory Public Meeting for this proposal, no final decision will be made about the development, and council will vote only to receive the report.
IDE-2018-25, 98 Farley Drive Proposed Zoning By-law Amendment, File: ZC1711 (Ward 6) – Meanwhile, slight south of their other proposed development, Reid’s Heritage Homes is looking to build a five-storey apartment building with 92 units on Farley Road between Eugene Drive and Goodwin behind the Zehrs. The site in question is presently vacant, but Reid’s is seeking a rezoning bylaw from “CC-17” (Specialized Community Shopping Centre) Zone to a R.4A-?? (Specialized Apartment Residential), which will include plans for 129 parking spaces. This is the Statutory Public Meeting for this proposal, no final decision will be made about the development, and council will vote only to receive the report.
