MEETING PREVIEW: Guelph Public Library Board for June 24, 2024

In their last meeting before summer vacation, the Guelph Public Library Board is going to have a lot of ground to cover. There will be follow up about previous reports on the work needed to update the various branches along with some of the usual monthly reports, and there will also be new information about the end of the yer financials and programming matters. Members of the Guelph Public Library Board of Directors met on Monday evening, and for a change of pace they heard about capital concerns beyond the new library building. There was a discussion about how to improve the amenities at the Library’s five branches, plus there was an update about the downtown library’s secondary role as a social services agency. MEETING PREVIEW: Guelph Public Library Board for May 27, 2024

You’ve made it to the end of May, which means that you’ve made it to the monthly Guelph Public Library Board of Directors meeting. All hands will be there at the community space on the second floor of the main library to talk about the usual slate of issues like the budget, library use and the new building update, but there’s some other stuff in the works this month about the whole library system and the under appreciated services of the library.
