RECAP: It Was Another Good Year at the Library, Board Hears

As usual, a month of meetings ended at the Guelph Public Library, the main branch which is still on Norfolk Street, at least for another year-and-a-half (and maybe something about an opening date got spilled in this meeting?). RECAP: Library Board Approves Strat Plan Then Goes In-Camera for Last ’24 Meet

The last meeting of the Guelph Public Library Board of Directors for 2024 (sadly), was a mostly straightforward affair. First, the board looked at the completed strategic plan for the next four years and then they spent 90 minutes in-camera talking about two different matters involving personnel, one brief and one kind of long. RECAP: The Library Trims Their 2025 Budget With One Move

After a summer break that actually included one closed door meeting to launch the search for the new CEO, the Guelph Public Library Board of Directors got back to business with some business. The library became one of the first of the shared services to approve their 2025 budget, and they did it while shaving six per cent from the original 2025 forecast that was approved last year.
