MEETING PREVIEW: Grand River Conservation Membership Meeting for February 28, 2025

This month, the Grand River Conservation Membership meeting falls on the last day of the month, so what have they saved the best for last? Well they’ve certainly saved their budget for last out of all the area shared services, so we will get that final vote at this meeting. MEETING PREVIEW: Grand River Conservation Membership Meeting for March 22, 2024

We welcome the first week of spring with an appropriate meeting, the monthly Grand River Conservation Authority membership board meeting! With spring practically here, it seems fitting that much of this month’s meeting agenda is dedicated to the awarding of construction tenders, including one locally for the new nature centre at Guelph Lake. RECAP: GRCA Board Has Concerns About Outdoor Education Changes

This month, the Grand River Conservation Authority membership got in on the growing number of budget activities, but that’s not where the controversy laid at this month’s board meeting. Having said that, the real controversy was in one area impacted by the budget, specifically changes to the outdoor education program. MEETING PREVIEW: Grand River Conservation Membership Meeting for October 27, 2023

Like a lot of local boards and committees this month, the focus is on money matters at October’s meeting of the Grand River Conservation Authority membership. The 2024 budget has come due for this board, and it may be the lowest increase of any board this year. Also of note, especially for those of us in Guelph, is a new piece of infrastructure at our eponymous lake in the north end. But that’s not all so check out the rest of the preview.
